Masters Project
For my Master Project I wanted to create a game with Moral Choices based in the world of Zelda. However, unlike most games with moral choices I wanted to force the player into doing specific choices that they may or may not agree with as the moral beliefs were part of a specific faction within the game and to progress through the game you had to please each and every faction.
I drew inspiration from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and even created mechanics very similar to the game such as a health system that took away a quarter heart each time the player took damage. A stamina wheel that made the player slow of fast depending on amount and also a gliding mechanic that could be called upon whenever the player fell from a specific height. I also worked on enemy A.I greatly improving on my previous final year project having the enemies patrol chase and randomly wander around the stage. I also implemented the roaming function to NPC's as well.
The main feature of this project was the quest system that I built from the ground up however, due to a bug the game file refused to load and after play testing I was unable to get a video of its performance.
Below is my reflective report about the project which includes all of my blueprint visual scripting that I did on the project.
